WHAT to DRINK with WHAT you EAT
Named 2006 Georges Duboeuf "Wine Book of the Year"

Dear Friends,
We are thrilled to be able to share some very exciting news with you:
Today, at a luncheon at Francois Payard's restaurant InTent in New York City hosted by Franck & Anne Duboeuf of Les Vins Georges Duboeuf and Bill & Peter Deutsch of W.J. Deutsch & Sons, Ltd. to celebrate the arrival of Georges Duboeuf Beaujolais Nouveau 2006, the first wine of the harvest, our new book WHAT TO DRINK WITH WHAT YOU EAT: The Definitive Guide to Pairing Food with Wine, Beer, Spirits, Coffee, Tea — Even Water — Based on Expert Advice from America's Best Sommeliers (Little, Brown's Bulfinch Press; October 2006) was presented with the 2006 Georges Duboeuf "Wine Book of the Year" Award.
Winners are selected for their ability to "illuminate the subject of wine for both the beginner and the connoisseur."
It is humbling that our book WHAT TO DRINK WITH WHAT YOU EAT is taking its place as a recipient of this coveted award, which has previously been bestowed upon some of the best wine books we've ever had the pleasure of reading — including RED WINE WITH FISH by David Rosengarten and Joshua Wesson, WINDOWS ON THE WORLD WINE COURSE by Kevin Zraly, and THE WINE BIBLE by Karen MacNeil, among others.
We'd like to thank the fabulous team at our publisher led by acquiring editor Karen Murgolo and our current editor Michael Sand for working with us to create this beautiful book — and the fabulous teams behind today's celebration hosts, the Duboeuf and Deutsch organizations, for this tremendous honor.
We hope this recognition will bring WHAT TO DRINK WITH WHAT YOU EAT to the attention of even more readers who will be able to use its lessons and insights to bring more pleasure into their lives, every single day.
Delicious wishes,
Karen & Andrew
